Position Summary
The Capsulation Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, sanitation, and routine maintenance of encapsulation machinery and related equipment. This position ensures all production activities comply with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Set up, operate, clean, and maintain encapsulation machines in accordance with established procedures.
+ Clean machines, equipment, and work areas using appropriate cleaning agents and methods after each batch and at the end of the day.
+ Perform sanitation checks and ensure all production areas remain in compliance with hygiene standards; complete and maintain cleaning logs.
+ Verify cleanliness and readiness of equipment prior to production. Utilize “Clean” and “Dirty” status tags as appropriate.
+ Review work orders and Master Manufacturing Records to confirm production specifications.
+ Load materials and mixtures into machines according to production requirements.
+ Adjust machine settings to control speed, pressure, temperature, and fill weight to meet product specifications.
+ Conduct test runs and perform in-process quality checks to ensure capsules meet required standards.
+ Record production data, including quantities produced, measurements, and quality results.
+ Identify and remove defective capsules; stop or adjust machines as needed.
+ Maintain tools and equipment through cleaning, oiling, and minor repairs.
+ Transfer completed products to designated drying or storage areas, ensuring containers are properly covered.
+ Support ongoing process and quality improvements by identifying and reporting operational issues.
+ Participate in audits and adhere to all GMP, SOP, and safety requirements.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years of related manufacturing or production experience preferred.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain machinery.
+ Working knowledge of production processes, quality control, and GMP standards.
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive tasks.
+ Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
