We are seeking an Electrical Drafter or Designer with 2 to 9 years of experience in an MEP environment. This role offers significant opportunities for career growth and provides a hybrid work schedule for qualified candidates. Candidates should have a strong willingness to learn design and an interest in conducting field surveys. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, while experience with Revit is advantageous.
Responsibilities
+ Draft and design electrical systems using AutoCAD.
+ Collaborate with the team on high-profile commercial interior projects, including commercial headquarters, breweries, distilleries, and government integrator projects.
+ Participate in field surveys and apply findings to design work.
+ Work closely with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met.
Essential Skills
+ 2 to 9 years of experience in an MEP environment.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD.
+ Strong drafting and design skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Revit is a plus.
+ Interest in learning and developing design skills.
+ Ability to conduct field surveys.

The work environment is a multi-disciplined A&E firm located in Columbia, MD. The office is open and collaborative, with no doors on offices, promoting a family-friendly atmosphere. There is flexibility in work schedules for in-state employees. The firm manages a portfolio of commercial, private, and federal projects, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbia, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
Bonus. In addition to the Base Salary, the Company may from time to time pay a bonus in an amount determined by the Company in its sole and absolute discretion. That Employee's performance and the performance of the Company generally warrant the same and if such bonus is in the best interest of the Company. Payment of one bonus in a year or other period will in no way bind the Company to pay a bonus in any subsequent year or period.The decision of the Company to pay or not pay such bonus will be conclusive and will be subject to review by no one.Cell Phone Allowance. The Company shall provide to Employee a cell phone stipend of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per month towards the cost of a cellular phone, to be paid in Sixty Dollar ($60.00) increments every other month.Health Club stipend. The Company shall also pay to Employee the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per year towards a membership for Employee in a health club, which said amount shall be paid directly to Employee annually as a reimbursable with proper invoicing documentation.Benefits. Employee shall also receive, without cost, all Employee health benefits for Employee. Coverage may also be extended to Employee's family with an appropriate adjustment of salary. Employee shall also receive the normal Arium long term disability coverage. Employee shall also be eligible to participate in the 401(k) program offered by the Company, which is funded and directed by the Employee.Compensation and benefits may be modified from time to time, in the sole discretion of Arium, to reflect merit increases, cost of living adjustments, policy changes and/or bonus pay. Said compensation is subject to any and all forms of taxation, now or hereafter required by law, including but not limited to, withholding of social security and federal and state income tax.
