Job Title: Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional mechanical engineer drafter with outstanding technical and analytical capabilities, capable of efficiently completing tasks to a high standard. The role involves developing 3D families and layouts of material handling equipment using Autodesk Revit, as well as producing detailed 10-page specification documents. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently with various stakeholders and deliver results promptly.

Responsibilities

+ Develop 3D families and layouts for material handling equipment using Autodesk Revit.

+ Produce detailed 10-page specification documents.

+ Work independently and collaborate with numerous stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.

+ Simplify designs while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

+ Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM field.

+ 3+ years of experience working in a 3D environment.

+ Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including layout creation and sheet creation.

+ Experience delivering detailed drawing packets with views, dimensions, and annotations following established standards.

+ Strong communication and writing skills.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous direction.

+ Ability to establish priorities, work independently or within a group, and with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Strong parametric modeling experience creating detailed families and/or parts utilizing code or functions for modularity.

+ Knowledge of material handling equipment storage systems and warehouse design.

+ Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, ACC, and Navisworks.

+ Experience creating and/or improving drawing standards and SOPs.

+ Familiarity with managing different levels of detail with scalability.

Work Environment

The position involves working three days on-site and two days in a hybrid setup. The work environment encourages diving deep into projects, maintaining high standards, delivering results, and simplifying processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.50/hr.
