    Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description

     

    The Engineer - EEG will perform a variety of multi-trade functions, such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repair, installation, and replacement of components, basic design, simple fabrication, adjustment, rebuilding, and welding.

    Responsibilities

    + Possess basic knowledge and understanding of Electrical Power, including proper wire size for current, amps, volts, AC, and DC.

    + Understand Hydraulic Power, including cylinders, valves, and the application of force.

    + Familiarity with Air Power, including cylinders, valves, mufflers, and other air components.

    + Proficient in PLC programming, ladder logic control, and functions pertinent to machine operation.

    + Knowledgeable about light curtains and other safety devices to maintain a safe work environment.

    + Repair and replace test cables and make recommendations for suitable substitutes on operational components.

    + Read blueprints, engineering sketches, or designs, and recognize and interpret details as well as slight variations in objects.

    + Keep accurate written records for the ordering of replacement parts and part quantities. Supply manufacturers' books, drawings, and spare parts to maintenance for proper ordering and preventive maintenance schedules for equipment.

    + Regularly inspect and adjust manufacturing equipment based on communication with operators or production supervisors.

    + Work with rigging and scaffolding, using ropes, chains, cables, hoists, jacks, and lift trucks to move heavy equipment.

    + Operate powered hand tools and occasionally perform welding and cutting torch operations.

    + Use precision measuring instruments and understand how components fit and work together.

    + Effectively communicate on issues such as scope of work, completion schedules, problems, solutions, and materials or parts required.

    + Perform other duties as required and assigned.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Open to candidates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (entry-level with at least 1-2 co-op experiences).

    + 1-3 years of experience in an automotive, industrial, commercial, or production/maintenance environment.

    + 1-3 years of experience using ladder logic, including troubleshooting and modifying logic, such as adding sensors.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.06/hr.
