Job Title: Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to oversee the creation of 3D models and detailed drawings in Risa 3D based on customer-provided designs. This role involves coordinating and overseeing technical drawings with the MDE team using Solidworks. Our projects primarily involve steel platforms, stairs, towers, foundations, skids, tanks, and drag chains across various industries such as Telecommunications, Transportation, Wastewater, and Oil & Gas.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee the creation of 3D models and detail drawings in Risa 3D.

+ Coordinate and oversee technical drawings using Solidworks with the MDE team.

+ Work on projects including steel platforms, stairs, towers, foundations, skids, tanks, and drag chains.

+ Ensure compliance with ANSI, EIA/TIA, and ASSHTO standards.

+ Collaborate with clients, consultants, project teams, engineering departments, vendors, and subcontractors.

+ Develop and monitor detailed project scopes and schedules for timely delivery.

+ Prepare basic engineering requirements and foundational design data.

+ Oversee the scheduling of engineering activities, including issuing drawings, specifications, and purchase orders.

+ Manage a design team of four, ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of experience as a professional Structural Engineer.

+ Proficiency in RISA 3D.

+ Familiarity with ANSI, EIA/TIA, and ASSHTO standards.

+ Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Solidworks is a plus.

+ Advanced knowledge of engineering technologies, codes, and standards.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams.

Work Environment

The candidate will work in an office environment alongside another Structural Engineer and be mentored by them and four other engineers on the team. All personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. The schedule is flexible, with core hours from 9am to 3pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $48.00/hr.
