Job Description
Perform duties associated with aseptic processes, weighing, measuring, counting, calculations, sampling, and verifications required for biological production processes in accordance with batch production records (BPR) and in compliance with current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) standards, all current safety standards and site procedures.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee production processes, including cleaning and environmental monitoring, as well as personnel management.
+ Perform in-process batch quality checks in accordance with written procedures.
+ Ensure all production equipment, instruments, and materials are released and available for use.
+ Conduct transactions within the electronic inventory management system.
+ Adhere to safety rules and wear appropriate safety equipment at all times.
+ Generate or collect new ideas to improve workplace and processes.
+ Read and interpret batch records, quality, and safety documentation.
Qualifications
+ High School Diploma required; AAS or BA in Biotechnology or a related scientific field preferred.
+ Previous experience in a manufacturing or production setting is preferred.
Work Environment
The role requires working on the production floor, overseeing batches and their quality. You will work with fermentation systems, vessels, centrifuges, and other large-scale production systems. A bigger picture mindset, the ability to think on your feet, and multitasking are essential. The work involves a lot of instrumentation and mechanical work.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $30.75/hr.
