    Job Title: QO Lab AnalystJob Description

     

    The QO Lab Analyst position requires an individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-oriented, team laboratory environment. The role involves analyzing raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials, APIs, utilities, and/or finished product samples to support the company's quality program in the laboratory.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform, document, record checks, and troubleshoot qualitative or quantitative assays on samples using techniques ranging from standard laboratory equipment to highly modern and automated instrumentation.

    + Participate in manufacturing QC support such as cleaning verification.

    + Interpret and evaluate data in terms of accuracy, precision, trends, and potential GMP impact, recommending appropriate corrective actions where necessary.

    + Maintain high productivity and the ability to multi-task with a low error rate and keen attention to detail.

    + Demonstrate flexibility/agility and engagement in a changing environment.

    + Display good laboratory techniques to avoid cross-contamination or misidentification of samples.

    + Comprehend and perform both routine and non-routine analyses from compendial and internal sources.

    + Train others as skills and knowledge allow.

    + Participate in laboratory investigations as required.

    + May write routine assay protocols or conduct assay, process, or instrument qualifications.

    + Quickly learn new skills and techniques.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Chemistry, Quality Control, Laboratory skills, liquid chromatography, analytical chemistry, and wet chemistry.

    + Experience with HPLC and other high complexity technologies such as uHPLC, GC, or advanced spectroscopy.

    + Ability to perform analyses using technologies like TLC, titrations, wet chemistry/physical testing, and water testing.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + AAS, BA/BS, or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.

    + Minimum of 2 years related experience in Quality Operations is preferred.

    + Demonstrated proficiency in at least one high complexity technology or two or more low to medium complexity technologies.

    + Ability to occasionally lift less than 35 lbs, reach, and sit while working at a computer terminal.

    + Candidate must not be Cephalosporin/Penicillin sensitive.

    Work Environment

    This is a lab-based role, requiring the use of various technologies and equipment. The work involves both routine and non-routine analyses, with the need for flexibility in a dynamic environment.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
