Job Title: Experienced Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced project manager to be a leading voice in our operations team and a clear point of contact with customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in factory automation and machinery making, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role calls for an individual with the personality to drive projects to completion, initiate quick action when required for success, and the ability to maintain a high-level view of a project at all times.

Responsibilities

+ Develop and monitor project schedules and conduct risk evaluations.

+ Collaborate with all operations teams and report status to management and customers.

+ Track project costs and provide technical support for the Solutions Development team.

+ Act as the general project manager and customer liaison for large internal projects and imported lines from Japan.

+ Track schedules and progress in Workfront, manage project costs, lead internal update meetings, and conduct status meetings with customers.

+ Follow up with operation managers as needed and report project status to upper management in weekly MLT meetings.

+ Ensure coordination between internal operation groups to ensure on-time completion of work for assigned projects.

+ Occasionally provide direct mechanical design support for projects when needed.

+ Generate ideas for new tools/processes to enhance the division and work with the Digitalization team to develop them.

Essential Skills

+ Strong experience in factory automation and machinery making.

+ Program management, mechanical design, and technical engineering experience in mechanical or electrical design.

+ Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate multiple teams and full projects.

+ Experience with project management software like Workfront.

+ Machine design expertise.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ PMP Certification.

Work Environment

The work environment includes collaborating with various operational groups such as Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Technicians. The role involves using project management software and occasionally providing mechanical design support. The benefits include 8 holidays and 10 days of PTO.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.50 - $53.00/hr.
