    SMX Technologies is seeking a skilled and mission-driven Radar Technician to join our team at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, supporting the Second Island Chain (SIC) support contract. This role is vital to maintaining the operational readiness of radar systems that enable the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s Pacific Multi-Domain Training and Experimentation Capability (PMTEC) Theater Campaign Plan. You’ll be part of a high-impact team ensuring radar systems are installed, maintained, and mission-ready in support of real-time operations across the Pacific theater.

     

    The primary operating location is Guam, but travel to other Pacific locations is to be expected.

     

    This position requires a DoD Secret with eligibility for Top Secret which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    + Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on radar systems, including AN/TPS-80 and associated IFF equipment

    + Install, align, and test radar systems and components to meet mission requirements

    + Diagnose and repair radar system malfunctions; isolate faults and replace Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)

    + Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to ensure accurate and effective repairs

    + Maintain detailed records of maintenance actions using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

    + Assist with radar system upgrades and modifications; ensure documentation and compliance with operational standards

    + Follow safety protocols and comply with occupational, health, environmental, and security regulations

    + Provide technical support during mission events; assist with Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) setup

    + Maintain accountability of radar system components, software, spare parts, and tools

    Required Skills & Experience

    + Associate’s degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent military training/experience)

    + Minimum 3 years of experience in radar system maintenance, preferably with AN/TPS-80 or similar air defense radar systems

    + Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing complex electronic systems

    + Strong technical skills in radar system operation, maintenance, and repair

    + Proficiency using diagnostic tools and test equipment

    + Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

    + Effective oral and written communication skills

    + Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance, with eligibility for Top Secret

    Desired Skills & Experience

    + Certified Electronics Technician certification

    + Experience supporting mission operations in OCONUS environments

    + Flexibility to work after-hours or weekends to meet mission demands

    + Familiarity with ACMI systems and air defense radar integration

    The proposed salary for this position is:

    $103,100—$171,800 USD
