Department Overview
The US Office of the COO (OCOO) has responsibility for the overall administration of TD Securities in the US. The OCOO ensures alignment of first line functions, risk functions and governance and oversight programs, and works closely with TD Securities senior management to drive and deliver regional business initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the AVP of the OCOO, this role is responsible for supporting daily administration of TD Securities, managing OCOO-led initiatives, implementing process improvements and building relationships with the business and functional support and control groups both within TD Securities and across TD. This role requires a highly effective communicator with expertise in providing decision support and insight to senior leaders and managing matters that are sensitive and highly confidential in nature. Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:
+ Plan, lead, and execute on key business and regulatory priorities led by the OCOO
+ Identify and analyze issues and risks, and recommend solutions based on research and consultation with relevant stakeholders
+ Coordinate cross-functionally by acting as liaison between the OCOO and other stakeholder groups to ensure seamless communication and alignment of priorities, esp. between first line and risk functions
+ Prepare and analyze various dashboards, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
+ Assist in a wide variety of day-to-day OCOO responsibilities, including finance, real estate, etc.
+ Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
+ Build strong relationships with business partners
+ Assess current processes and identify areas for improvement
+ Track and communicate progress on key initiatives
Education and Experience
+ Undergraduate degree and 10+ years of experience in financial services
+ Strong knowledge and understanding of the broker-dealer regulatory environment and requirements
+ Strong background in risk management and compliance
+ Background in finance a plus
+ A problem solver with a strong ability to analyze complex issues as well as recommend and implement process improvements to support operational excellence
+ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners across the three lines of defense
+ Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
+ Flexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities and contribute wherever needed
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Strong project management skills
