Your Impact as a Equity Investment Professional
As part of the Investment Finance Team in the
Americas, you will join a dynamic group of investment professionals supporting
strategic decision-making and portfolio growth. You will work closely with investment
and structuring teams in agile deal structures, contributing to high-impact
equity investments. **This position is located in New York City in a hybrid work environment, requiring 2-3 days onsite.**
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead thedevelopment of complex financial models to evaluate investmentopportunities, including DCF, market multiples and scenario analyses.
+ Independentlyassess growth-stage and mature companies, determining valuations usingmarket comps, precedent transactions, and intrinsic valuation techniques.
+ Provide strategicinput on deal structuring, capital allocation, and return optimization.
+ Oversee financialdue diligence processes for new investments and divestitures, coordinatingwith external advisors and internal stakeholders.
+ Review and refinefinancial models submitted by target companies or advisors, ensuringaccuracy and alignment with investment thesis.
+ Evaluatetransaction structures for financial, accounting, tax, and legalimplications under IFRS and US GAAP.
+ Manage financetopics for portfolio companies, including KPI tracking, equity pick-upanalysis, and liquidity forecasting.
+ Partner withportfolio company leadership to identify operational improvements, costefficiencies, and growth initiatives.
+ Monitor and reporton portfolio performance, highlighting risks and opportunities to seniorleadership.
+ Present investmentrecommendations, financial insights, and risk assessments to segmentleadership.
+ Translate complexfinancial data into actionable strategies for cross-functional teams,including legal, tax, and operations.
+ Mentor junioranalysts, providing guidance on modeling, valuation, and industryresearch.
+ Conduct in-depthmarket and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, disruptivetechnologies, and strategic opportunities.
+ Maintain a strongunderstanding of macroeconomic factors, regulatory developments, andsector-specific dynamics impacting investments.
+ Analyze and reporton key financial metrics such as IRR, ROE, EVA, and free cash flow toassess investment performance.
+ Develop dashboardsand reporting tools to enhance transparency and decision-making across theinvestment lifecycle
What You Bring:
+ Minimumof 8 years’ experience ininvestment finance, corporate finance, or transaction advisory, preferablywithin big4 accounting firm, private equity or investment banking.
+ Bachelor’sdegree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;advanced credentials such as CPA, CFA, or MBA stronglypreferred.
+ Deepunderstanding of US GAAP and IFRS, with a focus on equity accounting,consolidation, and transaction-related accounting treatments.
+ Expertisein valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flow (DCF), marketmultiples, and precedent transactions.
+ Proventrack record in fast-paced, deal-driven environments, with experiencemanaging multiple transactions and tight deadlines.
+ Advancedproficiency in Excel, including dynamic financial modeling, scenarioanalysis, and sensitivity testing; familiarity with tools like Power BI orTableau is a plus.
+ Strongability to interface cross-functionally with accounting, tax,legal, and reporting teams to ensure alignment on deal execution andportfolio management.
+ Excellentcommunication and presentation skills, with the ability to translatecomplex financial data into strategic insights for seniorstakeholders.
+ Willingnessto travel up to 10%, primarily for due diligence, portfolio companyvisits, and transaction support.
