This role supports the preparation of short-term forecasting and long-term planning while analyzing business performance and department spending. The Financial Analyst will develop a comprehensive understanding of the business and produce relevant reports to aid management decision-making, focusing on maximizing profitable growth. The position involves significant process improvements related to forecasting, planning, and finance systems and tools. The candidate will actively drive processes to deliver insights and work closely with leaders to enhance planning, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
Responsibilities
+ Provide a foundation for optimizing financial decisions by assisting in the preparation of monthly forecasting, annual planning, multi-year planning, and plan/forecast variance analysis.
+ Identify, understand, and analyze key performance metrics, providing insights.
+ Develop and maintain partnerships with key contacts to understand and identify expense drivers, issues, and opportunities.
+ Communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand results, using this information to forecast outlooks and identify business risks and opportunities.
+ Compile data from multiple sources, develop performance reports, and provide operational and financial performance insights to management.
+ Make recommendations to management on financial performance projections using financial and business expertise.
+ Coordinate efforts to troubleshoot process and tool issues, determine root causes, and recommend solutions.
+ Create monthly and quarterly reporting packages.
+ Support and participate in ad-hoc analysis.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in financial analysis within the manufacturing industry.
+ Experience with ERP software, variance analysis, KPI, P&L analysis.
+ Direct Finance/FP&A experience.
+ Experience handling complex budgets of multiple departments.
+ Experience presenting financials to executives.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business with a focus on Finance preferred.
+ Experience with Power BI and Hyperion Essbase.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with large publicly traded companies.
+ Experience working with industrial companies, with direct manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
+ Financial modeling expertise.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Ability to use query tools and databases.
+ Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
+ High sense of urgency and results-oriented.
+ Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to create complex financial models.
+ Experience in designing and implementing process improvements.
+ Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships across functions and organizational levels.
Work Environment
The role is dynamic, requiring the use of various technologies and tools such as Power BI and Hyperion Essbase. It involves collaborating across different departments and levels within the organization, often working under tight deadlines to deliver detailed and accurate reports. The environment values strong communication skills and the ability to present findings to executives.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
