    Job Title: Purchasing Clerk

    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Clerk to manage purchasing and inventory activities efficiently. The ideal candidate will ensure a seamless procurement process and provide essential support in shipping and logistics operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Source and order consumables and repair parts needed for production.

    + Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.

    + Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective procurement.

    + Assist in scheduling and coordinating trucking and freight shipments.

    + Compare packing slips, BOLs, and shipping documents with Bill of Materials.

    + Prepare shipping documentation and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

    + Communicate with carriers and internal teams to resolve shipping issues.

    + Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to identify supply needs.

    + Track and report on purchasing and shipping metrics.

    + Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain and logistics.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-5 years of experience in purchasing consumables and machine parts.

    + Proficiency in shipping and logistics, including BOLs, BOMs, and packing slips.

    + Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Ability to read schematics and drawings to understand parts to order.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.

    + Experience in logistics, shipping, or production support is a plus.

    + Strong organizational and communication skills.

    + Experience with accounting systems and ERP is an advantage.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This role requires full-time presence in the office from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
