    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive administrator to support purchase request processing within the engineering R&D department. This role ensures timely procurement of materials, tools, and services essential for innovation and product development while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

    Responsibilities

    + Process and track R&D-related purchase requests from initiation to completion.

    + Collaborate with engineers and project leads to clarify sourcing requirements.

    + Liaise with supply chain and finance teams to ensure budget alignment and vendor compliance.

    + Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery timelines.

    + Assist in vendor selection and evaluation for R&D-specific materials and services.

    + Generate regular reports on procurement activity, cost analysis, and process efficiency.

    + Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

    Essential Skills

    + 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or administrative support, preferably in an engineering or R&D setting.

    + Familiarity with ERP systems, such as SAP and Oracle, and procurement software.

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

    + Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into actionable purchase requests.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience working in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

    + Knowledge of engineering materials, lab equipment, and prototyping tools.

    + Understanding of compliance standards in R&D procurement, such as ISO and FDA.

    Work Environment

    The position requires working onsite from Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. The environment is fast-paced and innovation-driven, focusing on supporting the engineering R&D department.

    This is a Contract position based out of Newark, California

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
