    The Project Engineer plays a crucial role in

    the design and execution of Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) and Gas Insulated

    Switchgear (GIS) EPC projects, utilizing extensive technical expertise to

    ensure the reliability and safety of electrical systems. This position involves

    developing project design criteria and creating comprehensive design packages

    that guide the construction and operation of substations. The role requires

    collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales and project

    management, to address potential challenges and provide innovative solutions.

    With a strong emphasis on adhering to industry standards and best practices,

    the Substation Engineer is instrumental in delivering projects on time and

    within budget, while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance.

    What You Bring

    + 2-5years in engineering roles within AIS/GIS Substations EPC.

    + Understanding of high voltage AIS/GIS equipment andelectrical engineering principles.

    + Proficient in engineering design, analysis, andimplementation, including the ability to develop and review technicaldocumentation and specifications.

    + Ability to create and evaluate engineeringdesigns, ensuring compliance with industry standards and projectrequirements.

    + Analytical skills to identify and resolve engineeringchallenges effectively.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skillsfor effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.

    + Experience ensuring environmental, health, and safetycompliance in engineering practices.

    + Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (orrelated field) and relevant certifications, with hands-on experience inHV-Substation design and construction.

    + Applicants must be legally authorized for employment inthe United States without need for current or future employer-sponsoredwork authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorshipmay be eligible for internal transfers.
