Medical Laboratory Assistant

About the Role

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of our clinical team—performing a variety of lab duties with precision and care. From phlebotomy to sample processing, your work will directly support accurate diagnostics and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Perform venipuncture and waived to moderately complex lab testing

+ Execute phlebotomy procedures with safety, skill, and compassion

+ Process samples, manage order entry, and assist with phone coverage

+ Collect patient information and ensure awareness of hospital policies

+ Provide coverage across all shifts as needed

Qualifications

Required:

+ High school diploma or GED

+ Medical Laboratory Assistant Certification or equivalent degree

+ Strong communication skills (English required; additional languages a plus)

+ Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

+ Enrollment in a phlebotomy program or equivalent education

+ Phlebotomy certification (ASCP, NCCT, CPT-CCI)

+ One year of experience as a Phlebotomist
