    The role supports the Director of Finance & Accounting in providing accurate and meaningful financial data to senior management by assisting in monthly closes, budgeting/forecasting and performing day to day accounting functions. This person will also provide information to the outside auditors during interim and year-end testing and prepare any ad hoc requests from Corporate Finance and/or senior management as well as assist with various tax filings.

     

    + Assist with the monthly close and financial reporting, including preparation and explanation of actual vs budget variances for the OPEX. Ensure journal entries are recorded timely and accurately.

    + Prepare account analysis and reconciliations for various income and balance sheet accounts including, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, bonus accrual, ensuring all are completed timely and accurately.

    + Prepare various journal entries, determine accruals, and reconcile intercompany balances on a monthly basis.

    + Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.

    + Manage the accounts payable process which includes weekly processing along with managing vendor data.

    + Process expense reports in Concur.

    + Run payroll twice a month, verifying employee exceptions if applicable (disability, leave, etc. ) with both HR and Sparrow

    + Prepare 1099's using outside vendor software - review reconcile and file

    + Assist in projects and prepare ad hoc reports as needed

    + Assist in the annual audit, including year-end schedule and financial statement preparation.

    + Assist with HR and IT projects as needed.

    + Bachelor's degree in accounting

    + Prior experience with monthly close

    + Prior experience in pharmaceuticals, would be strongly preferred, but not required

    + Proven teamwork and collaboration skills; ability to be resourceful and self-sufficient

    + Strong written and verbal communications skills

    + Advanced Excel skills, knowledge of US GAAP

    + Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.

    + Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.

    + Pay Range: $ 45-55/HR
