Responsibilities

+ Leverage advancements in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support sustainability objectives and enhance efficiency in data center operations.

+ Assist in translating complex data into actionable insights and presenting findings to stakeholders.

+ Collaborate on the design and execution of experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate new approaches, ensuring the reliability and validity of results.

+ Contribute feedback to the engineering team regarding potential business opportunities and product enhancements based on data analysis and findings.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

+ Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)

+ OR Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)

+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)

+ OR equivalent experience.

+ 4+ years of experience leveraging the practical uses of statistics (i.e. experimentation, statistical modeling).

+ 4+ years of customer-facing, project-delivery experience.

+ Experience with Spark and Python.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

+ Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)

+ OR equivalent experience.

+ Experience with large-scale product and service telemetry systems, demonstrating a deep understanding of data collection, processing, and analytical methodologies.

+ Experience with Exploratory Data Analysis, Inference analysis, Predictive analysis (Regression, Classification etc.), forecasting, and Machine Learning.

+ Foundation in applied statistics and mathematics, with the ability to apply advanced analytical techniques to solve complex problems.

+ Experience with Kubernetes and Airflow.

Data Science IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
