About the Job

PAR Electric, a leader in power and infrastructure construction, is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Civil and Foundations Division. This role is critical in driving accurate, competitive, and strategic cost estimates for complex civil and drilling projects. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting business growth, ensuring project profitability, and providing leadership within the estimating team.

What You'll Do

What You Will Do

+ Prepare, review, and finalize detailed cost estimates for civil and drilling projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work.

+ Analyze project drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates.

+ Lead and coordinate the estimating process from concept through completion.

+ Partner with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure estimates align with scope and execution plans.

+ Conduct risk analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide recommendations to management.

+ Negotiate and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing to ensure competitive bids.

+ Support business development efforts with accurate cost data, budgets, and project forecasts.

+ Mentor junior estimators and share best practices to strengthen the team.

What You'll Bring

What You Will Bring

+ Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

+ 5+ years of estimating experience in civil construction, drilling, or utility/infrastructure projects.

+ Strong understanding of civil construction methods, drilling operations, and related cost factors.

+ Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.

+ Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

+ Proven track record of preparing accurate, detailed, and competitive cost estimates.
