TEKsystems is in need of a Project Manager for a permanent opportunity with our client! This client is a communications contractor offering a full range of fiber optic and cable network services. Servicing Cox Communications, Comcast Cable, Segra, Suddenlink and Windstream in the States of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and in Washington D.C., They are a trusted resource for cabling and maintaining high-speed internet connectivity via fiber optic and coaxial systems.

They are looking for an experienced project manager to support their OSP telecommunications construction efforts not limited to Commercial (Metro E and SMB) and Residential (Multiple Dwelling Units), SDU (Single Dwelling Unit) jobs. This will be mainly supporting Broadband and Comcast and will be an 60/40 split between aerial/UG.

The project manager will be involved with Strategic oversight of Cable TV expansions for a few major clients. They will have a team of construction coordinators that report to them who are in charge of the day to day and providing various updates. The PM's role is more client facing, looking at current processes to gain efficiencies, vendor management, internal/external communication, etc.

These will be turn key projects so they will be responsible for overseeing a team of Construction Managers and technicians. The Project Manager should have previous experience with Site Surveys, Site Walks, creating and validating BOM's, approving line items, set expectations with end clients, coordinating construction with various crews, performing QC, and working project through close out to validate As-builts, and overseeing the over all budget of projects. They really need to be comfortable creating accurate timelines after assessing projects, getting the work done efficiently, correctly, and under budget.

This is a direct placement opportunity with a stable and growing company. The main objective for this candidate will be to help take on the additional growth of the TN region and run a portion of the office as if it was their own business.

Experience working across Design, Permitting, and Construction is a plus. But they do have an in-house permitting team. Need to have great internal and external communication abilities.

This person needs to be motivated and have the ability to take initiative. They will have a strong support system and need to know when to escalate issues to higher managers. Also in charge of raising awareness around vendors performance. Tons of collaboration internally and externally.

• Providing updates and QC report tracking

• Reporting to client and the Operations Manager weekly

• Tracking in excel

• Assessing project defining scope find bill of materials approve line items

• Engaging in accurate timelines

• Working with contractors and in house construction teams

• Be able to change digital to as-builds

• On call responsibilities will be helping to mitigate risk with outages. They will need to make sure the Construction Coordinators are working quickly to assure crews are responding in a timely manner.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $125000.00/yr.

2 weeks PTO, 1 week sick pay, health, dental, vision, take-home company vehicle, 401K with company match, etc.
