    Position Overview:

    Performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment.

     

    Performs other duties as assigned or required.

    EDUCATION

    + HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience

    CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

    + CRCST: Certified Registered Central Service Technician

    + or

    + CSPDT: Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

    + 3-5 years

    + 3+ Years of Previous Instrument Care/Assembly experience.

    + New grads will be considered

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

    + General knowledge of surgical tools, procedures, views, and equipment.

    + Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    + Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

    + Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline.

    + General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).

    Pay Range is $36.38 to $40.94 / hour

     

    _The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
