+ Under general supervision, performs a variety of billing functions that includes the preparation and distribution of invoices, processing payments and payment approval.

+ Analyzes billing data and prepares reports for revenue and expenditures.

+ Develops reports as needed.

+ Plans, develops, tracks and documents patient/client billing and collection activities.

+ Prepares, distributes, receives and/or processes itemized statements, bills or invoices; documents amounts due, amounts paid or delinquent amounts for items purchased or services rendered.

+ Researches/resolves problematic transactions.

+ Reviews documents, such as purchase orders, sales tickets, charge slips or hospital records in order to compute fees and charges due.

+ Verifies and processes vendor invoices and payment information

High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related billing/bookkeeping experience; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Billing Clerk 1 (FIT030) or equivalent position.
