Care Coordinator – Healthcare Benefits & Support
The Care Coordinator plays a key role in supporting patients and healthcare providers by managing benefit coordination, insurance verification, and access to prescribed therapies. This role involves direct communication with patients and providers, helping them navigate eligibility, enrollment, and affordability programs. The coordinator serves as a trusted resource, ensuring smooth interactions and timely resolutions across all payer types—including Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and commercial insurance—with a strong focus on Medicare Part B.
Key Responsibilities
+ Act as a liaison between healthcare providers, patients, and internal teams
+ Guide patients through benefit eligibility, enrollment, and affordability support
+ Handle inbound and outbound communications to resolve access and reimbursement issues
+ Maintain accurate records and escalate complex cases per program guidelines
+ Build strong relationships with providers and deliver detailed program information
+ Collaborate with Program Management to share updates on patient status and provider feedback
+ Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards while delivering exceptional customer service
Required Skills & Experience
+ Expertise in insurance reimbursement, prior authorizations, and care coordination
+ Strong understanding of medical and pharmacy benefits, including Free Goods programs
+ Experience communicating with both patients and providers
+ Familiarity with reverification processes and navigating payer challenges
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using technology in a fast-paced environment
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
