**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career-oriented, and customer-focused **Dedicated Video Installation Technician** to join our team in **Herndon, VA** . You will be part of a dedicated support team for the StreamIT project, responsible for installing network equipment, video media gateways, and associated service modules. This role requires attention to detail, hands-on technical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Provide daily customer support with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN infrastructures (classified and unclassified), including scripting, configuration, cutovers, and IP network support.
+ Perform efficient, high-quality installations of video, network, and related equipment.
+ Run, terminate, and properly dress cables; mount and connect video/network equipment in racks per industry and Sponsor standards.
+ Conduct site surveys and collaborate with users and engineering teams to resolve technical and video service issues.
+ Local travel will be required between customer buildings or temporary assignment to an alternate location in support of special projects.
+ Work required shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM as part of a coverage team operating between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma with 6+ years of experience OR an Associate’s Degree with 4+ years of experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience.
+ Experience with classified/unclassified LAN infrastructures, including scripting, configuration, cutovers, troubleshooting, and implementation of new networks within the customer environment.
+ Skilled in installing and troubleshooting video equipment, media gateways, and diverse cabling types (copper, fiber, RJ45, DSX, 110 cross-connects, etc.), with strong knowledge of industry standards.
+ Ability to interpret cable run lists, resolve technical issues in collaboration with engineering teams, and provide high-quality, detail-oriented installations.
+ Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; adaptable, self-motivated, and effective working both independently and in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with the following qualifications are preferred:
+ Network and Video Installation experience.
+ Related work experience in a technical help desk position and IT hardware and cabling installation.
+ IAT III certification.
+ Experience with ServiceNow ITSM & ITOM.
+ ITIL® v4 Foundation, or higher, certification.
Clearance Requirements:
+ Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
+ Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices, position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.
+ Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50+ pounds, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts. Ascends/descends a ladder, 10+ feet high while performing installations or maintenance tasks.
