    As Warehouse Supervisor, you'll oversee daily operations including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution. You'll ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while maintaining an efficient and organized facility.     + Assist the Materials Management Division Manager in overseeing daily warehouse functions and providing directions to personnel.

    + Lead by example through active involvement in operational tasks and frontline support.

    + Enable staff development by mentoring team members, facilitates training initiatives, and participates in performance evaluations.

    + Evaluate staffing needs, delegates tasks, and fosters a productive, safety-focused, and collaborative work environment.

    + Perform and oversee the core warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment (picking/kitting), delivery coordination, billing, and material staging.

    + Track daily workflows to maintain operational efficiency and alignment with service objectives.

    + Participate directly in tasks to ensure continuity during staff shortages.

    + Implement best practices in material handling and contributes to optimizing warehouse layout and logistics process.

    + Maintain accurate inventory levels of materials, parts, and supplies required for water and wastewater operations.

    + Assist in setting and adjusting reorder thresholds using a barcoded inventory system.

    + Conduct daily cycle counts, compiles inventory reports, and aligns stock availability with work orders, maintenance schedules, and budgetary planning.

    + Ensure warehouse and yard facilities remain organized, secure, and compliant with safety regulations.

    + Collaborate with the Division Manager and Procurement to facilitate the acquisition of warehouse materials and services.

    + Oversee the purchasing transactions to ensure adherence to County procurement policies.

    Work Hours:

    + Monday - Friday

    + 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

    + *On-Call Required

     

    About You

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Building, Construction, or related field.

    + - OR - Two (2) year associate's degree AND two (2) years of experience in the related field.

    + - OR - A High School diploma AND four (4) years of related experience in the related field.

    + One year of supervisory experience (lead worker or acting in a supervisory capacity may be counted) in related field.

    + A valid Florida driver's license at the time of hire.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Knowledge of applicable state and local regulations and ordinances.

    + Advanced knowledge of the methods, equipment, principles, practices, troubleshooting and techniques of commercial Fire/Life Safety and HVAC systems using chillers, cooling towers, thermal storage, pumps, AHU’s, VFD’s, BAS and common peripherals.

    + Understanding of Building Automation System(s) methods and integration with other building systems.

    + Knowledge of construction plans and specifications and ability to interpret and conduct construction/maintenance inspections and evaluations.

    + Ten (10) years of related experience; three (3) of which, are related to chiller plant applications to a commercial office building.

    + Posses the IAQ and Energy Management certification.

    + Advanced HVAC trade software programming.

    + Understanding of the Archibus work order management, Johnson & Trane Controls, VFD Programming & Terminoligy.

     

    Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

     

    **This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five years.

    Starting Pay Range: $27.49 - $35.73/ hour , based on experience
