Job Summary
Provide the maintenance of plant components, equipment, systems, structures, and buildings and ensure that assigned personnel work in a safe, quality, and productive fashion. Supervise Scheduler Coordinators in the areas of Instrumentation and Control, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Welding, Mechanical, Electrical, and Building Maintenance and Construction.
Job Description
What You'll Do:
+ Attend scheduled meetings to ensure a high-quality schedule is developed for I&C, Mechanical, or Electrical departments, utilizing the resources to be the most productive.
+ Act as the department manager designee.
+ Coordinate with other supervisors, sections, and departments as necessary to ensure equipment is properly functional and equipment unavailability is minimized.
+ Plan and schedule work to be completed in a manner which efficiently utilizes available resources (e.g., personnel, test equipment, tools).
+ Ensure work schedules are laid out properly to work outages or critical project, around the clock when necessary.
+ Plan and schedule the performance of calibrations to ensure the satisfaction of requirements, as set forth in the Technical Specifications.
+ Responsible for the discipline specific schedule coordinator and responsible for the Surveillance Coordinator and M&TE supervisor in Instrumentation & Controls.
What We're Looking For:
Education:
+ Associate's degree in electronics, electrical technology, mechanical technology, physical science
+ OR US Navy nuclear experience with a rating of E-6 or above and greater than six years' total experience.
+ OR high school diploma/GED and greater than 10 years' total experience.
Work Experience:
+ Eight years' experience in instrumentation and controls, and/or mechanical or electrical experience of which three years shall be nuclear power plant experience and at least one year shall be served as a First Line Supervisor.
Other Requirements:
+ Strong interpersonal skills.
+ Effective writing and verbal communication skills.
+ Demonstrated leadership ability.
+ Broad knowledge of nuclear standards and nuclear policies, practices, and procedures.
+ Changes to these minimum requirements require review of ANSI N18.1-1971 or current governing document if revised AND Department Manager/Director concurrence.
+ Physical Demands: Will require walk downs in plant environment which will include exposure to heat, cold, noise, and radiation exposure.
Must establish and maintain a permanent residence within a 45-minute safe drive time to the D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant.
