The position also performs professional and administrative work in purchasing a wide variety of goods and services needed by the Department. In addition, DPHHS is the largest state agency with a wide range of advancement opportunities whether you are joining the workforce or have several years of experience.** ** *Qualifications for this Career Opportunity*** ** * Knowledge of contract administration activities, bid process and request for proposal (RFP) and invitation for bids (IFB). * Strong skill in utilizing Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) * Knowledge of accounts payable as it relates to purchasing and cost-benefit analysis. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree in contract management, business, accounting, or related field. o Two years of professional experience with contract assignments including evaluating invitations for bids and proposals; and professional purchasing experience with both goods and services. o Equivalent combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis. ** *How to Apply*** To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
