The Impact you’ll make:

Our OSM Tooling Engineer is a key contributor to the Minneapolis Tool Center and OSM/On-Site machining field service organization, innovating with your expert tooling knowledge and solutions.

Be part of a dynamic team designing, building, and repairing of jigs and fixtures, as well as providing diverse on-site technical leadership for repairs also supporting portable machining for our Field Service On-site services.

Your work will involve deploying various portable machining equipment to support on-site customer field repairs including CNC, manual mills, jig bore, surface and rotary grinders, saws, drill press, and portable lathes.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

+ You will design and develop and creative tooling fixture solutions that adapt off-the shelf portable machining tools for custom steam and gas turbine repair applications.

+ You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, embracing and driving positive change within and outside the organization when appropriate.

+ Use your creativity to fabricate standard and special jigs, fixtures, gages, tools, assemblies, and more.

+ Collaborate with technical and operations teams across the GE Vernova organization to manage process and product improvement projects.

+ Conduct root cause analysis and drive resolution to quality and technical issues in a cross-functional, collaborative manner.

What You'll Bring (Basic Qualifications):

+ Engineering or related bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or technical fields.

+ Min. 3 years of experience in Tool Fixture design or CNC machining

+ Min. 3 years of experience with graphical based CAD/CAM software

+ Min. 3 years of practical experience in four (4) or more of the following categories of machines or processes: Lathes, mills, operator-controlled precision grinding, drills, heat treat or cutter grind with the ability to hold close tolerances (+/- 0.001”).

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $98,400.00 - $164,000.00 USD USD Annual.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, geographic location, and skill set.

This position is also eligible for a 10% annual performance bonus. This position will stay open on the career website until at least Oct. 25th /2025
