Admissions Specialist/Processor
Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
Responsible for assisting with all phases of the College's admissions and enrollment management for all programs at Mercy College. Process incoming applications and supporting materials for admissions and assist the admissions staff with other duties as needed. Serves as the primary backup for the Admissions Administrative Assistant when needed.
Essential Job Functions
Receive, review, and process admissions applications and supporting materials in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Enter, update, and maintain applicant data and documentation in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, the Document Imaging System, and Student Information System (SIS) with accuracy. Including status changes, requests for program change, request for deferrals, and processing of cancellations.
Assist and participate in college recruitment events as needed.
Collaborate with admissions staff to ensure a seamless admissions experience.
Communicate with applicants regarding application issues or when clarification of information is needed.
Maintain strong knowledge of enrollment business processes.
Possess an understanding of a full admissions cycle from inquiry to enrollment.
Participate in cross-training opportunities to provide support across multiple functions within the admissions office.
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with a diverse population.
Serves as the backup to the front desk receptionist and covers this area when needed.

Required Minimum Education:
2 Year/ Associates Degree.
Preferred Education:
4 year/ Bachelors Degree
Minimum Years and Type of Experience:
3 or more years’ experience in Admissions within Higher education
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** **Required:
Prioritization skills, ability to multitask amid constant interruptions, able to work independently, strong attention to detail, experience with Microsoft Office
