About the Role:
Callen-Lorde Community Health Center is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of prescription renewal requests.
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will include:
+ Process prescription renewal requests received via telephone, electronically, and fax.
+ Maintain proper stock and management of in-house pharmaceutical samples.
+ Adhere to the highest ethical standards, including HIPAA privacy standards.
+ Function as part of a collaborative care-giving team.
+ Process prior authorizations
Work Schedule:
Callen-Lorde’s main site in Chelsea is open Monday through Saturday. This is a full-time position that will require three morning and daytime shifts, may require two evening shifts and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications
+ Certification as a Pharmacy Technician or Medical Assistant through one or more of the following certification boards:
+ Pharmacy Technician Certification Board;
+ National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCAA);
+ Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT)
+ Minimum High School diploma or equivalent education (GED or foreign diploma) required.
+ Strong Computer Competency required.
+ Two years’ experience in a retail pharmacy, or community health care setting preferred.
