    Are you an experienced Veterinary Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? VCA Dunwoody Veterinary Center is excited to expand our leadership team and is currently seeking a **Veterinary Assistant Supervisor** to help guide and support our hospital staff in delivering the highest standard of care.

     

    **Schedule:** Full-time opportunity

    **Key Responsibilities:** As the Veterinary Assistant Supervisor, you will work closely with our medical and hospital leadership teams to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the hospital floor. You will assist in mentoring and supporting the assistant team while continuing to provide hands-on care to our patients.

    + Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures

    + Safely and humanely restrain patients during procedures

    + Administer medications and treatments under veterinary direction

    + Collect and process lab samples (blood, fecal, urine, etc.)

    + Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and exam areas

    + Accurately document patient care and progress in medical records

    + Educate clients on general pet care, medications, and post-operative instructions

    + Help foster a positive, team-oriented hospital culture

    + Support onboarding, training, and daily coordination of assistant team members

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + 2+ years previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant.

    + Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

    + Ability to lead by example and support a collaborative team environment.

    + Passion for veterinary medicine and high-quality patient care.
