Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a **Sr. Principal Systems Engineer** to join its team. This position is in **Roy, UT** and will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do:
The Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join the team supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition, requirements allocation, requirements traceability, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop rigorous and proper systems engineering and design artifacts.
+ Work with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature WS design of a large program.
+ Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.
+ Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical).
+ Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
+ Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration)

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:
+ Requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8 years of experience or 6 years with a Master's degree or 4 year with a PhD. An additional 4 years of direct CM/DM experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
+ Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
+ Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
+ 2+ years’ experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems
+ 2+ years’ experience in developing and executing Systems Engineering process governance documentation in a DoD Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase
+ 1+ years’ experience in team environments with technical leadership responsibilities
+ 2+ years’ experience in creating, updating, and maintaining requirements specifications in DOORS
+ 2+ years’ experience on large scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program: preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to production.
+ 2+ years’ experience in creating, updating, and maintaining Model-Based Systems Engineering products
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Familiar with SE events (e.g., PDR, CDR)
+ Experience using Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, and Power Point
+ Experience resolving issues and providing technical support
+ Capable of working with minimal direction and in team environments.
+ Experience leading SE events (e.g., PDR, CDR)
+ Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.) for the development of complex systems of systems.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities.
+ Familiar with Teamcenter/CPLM
+ Experience with Agile
+ Experience with SE events (e.g., PDR, CDR)
Primary Level Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
