Meaningful Work From Day One:
Support the launch of New Product Development by ensuring all packaging components meet specified quality, safety, and performance standards through rigorous testing and analysis. This includes collaborating with R&D, marketing, and operations teams to understand project requirements, develop testing protocols, and interpret results to inform design and material selection. Ensure all documentation is meticulously maintained for audit and regulatory compliance.
What You Can Expect:
+ Design and conduct experiments according to B-F and Industry standards: tensile testing, compression, color spectrophotometer, transportation vibration simulator, severe environment simulations, and other package tests.
+ Collects and assists in interpretation of data and provides recommendations for new product development.
+ Generate lab reports and facilitates continuous improvement of laboratory testing success criteria and methods.
+ Generate packaging specifications for new items where appropriate.
+ Record, observe and collect data associated with long term research.
+ Create and update packaging label specifications.
+ Helps maintain 5S workplace.
What You Bring to the Table:
+ Associates or bachelor’s of Science Degree with 1 - 2 years of laboratory experience; or 4 – 6 years of combined education and experience.
+ Demonstrated ability to interpret data and provide recommendations.
+ Basic understanding of packaging materials (glass, PET, corrugated, paper).
+ Problem-solving skills with a heavy emphasis placed on the ability to diagnose and solve problems.
+ Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with a broad range of business associates.
+ Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and complete work with speed and accuracy within established timeframes.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to perform and adapt in a rapidly changing environment as necessary.
+ Ability and willingness to travel 5% of the time.
What Makes You Unique:
+ Packaging Science and/or Laboratory Background.
+ Knowledge of Glass Packaging Testing and Manufacturing Processes.
+ Strong information technologies aptitude.
