Northrop Grumman is seeking an **Associate Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer (T01) or a Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer (T02)** . This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in **Melbourne, FL** . The selected candidate will be expected to:
In this role, you will be asked to manage a team that conducts research, develops models, and performs analysis of a wide variety of system types to drive the development of requirements, refine existing requirements, and influence the pursuit of future technologies and capabilities. You will work within the Product Support organization on forward looking (projection based) metrics to status the health and capabilities of weapon systems. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and technical writing skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple technical tasks and present to leadership.
Skills in the areas of data transformation, discrete event simulation, Monte Carlo simulations, mathematical optimization, regression analyses, trend & sensitivity analysis, data sampling, and computing are essential.
Modeling & Simulation analysis tasks will include:
+ Spares Forecasting
+ Readiness Modeling
+ Obsolescence Forecasting
+ Level of Repair (LOR) Analysis
+ Cost Analysis
+ Business Case Analysis
+ Cost per Flight Hour Analysis
The Candidate must possess strong communication and writing skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks. Proficiency with Tableau, R, Python, VBA, PowerQuery, Microsoft Access, Arena, or other programming language for data analytics is essential.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer level (T01) or a Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer level (T02).
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer (T01):
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
+ Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
+ Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree such as Industrial Engineering, Math, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related
+ Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

+ Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
+ Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
Preferred Qualifications for both an Associate Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer (T01) & Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer (T02):
+ Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
+ Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Pay Range:
+ Associate Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer (T01): $63,900 - $95,900
+ Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer (T02): $77,200 - $115,800

Secondary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
