    **Contingent on Contract Award Expected in October/November 2025***

     

    Amentum is seeking several talented and experienced **Navy Cost Estimators** in anticipation of contract award to support the Guided Missile Frigate (FFG) Program Office (PMS 515) with professional support services in the program management areas associated with acquisition and program management, business and financial management, and configuration management for ship construction. PMS 515, under the cognizance of the Program Executive office (PEO) Unmanned and Small Combatants (USC), designs, procures and builds the Navy's next class of multi-mission Small Surface Combatants. The Constellation Class, a class of Guided Missile Frigate named for FFG-62 USS Constellation, will deliver the capabilities needed to support a range of fleet operations.

     

    The **Navy Cost Estimator** will provide cost related analysis and assessments of ships, submarines, and related ship systems. Provide technical expertise, performs parametric tradeoff studies, and assesses cost estimates. Will be proficient with using modern computational tools and spreadsheets to conduct cost assessments. Will develop program life cycle cost estimates and performs concepts and technology tradeoff studies for surface ship and submarine programs. Be familiar with typical tools include the USN's Visibility and Management of Operating Costs (VAMOSC) databases and Operating and Support Cost Analysis Model (OSCAM) suite of cost models for a variety of Operations and Support (O&M) costing tasks.

     

    _Ship Cost Estimator (Junior):_

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a SECRET Clearance.

    + Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.

    + 3 years’ professional experience in financial analysis and cost estimating.

    + Experience communicating with mid-to-high level personnel.

    + Strong Written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    + Experience in U.S. Navy programs or operations.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.

    + 5 years’ professional experience in financial analysis and cost estimating.

    + Be a Certified estimator by Society of Cost Estimating (SCEA).

    + DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process).

    + Experience in surface combatant ships.

     

    _Ship Cost Estimator (Mid):_

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a SECRET Clearance.

    + Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.

    + 5 years’ professional experience in financial analysis and cost estimating.

    + Be a Certified estimator by Society of Cost Estimating (SCEA).

    + Strong Written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    + Experience in U.S. Navy programs or operations

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.

    + 10 years professional experience in shipbuilding acquisition support.

    + DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process).

    **Compensation:** The annual starting salary for this position is between $80,000-$130,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
