In this role, you will impact on the success of our software projects by providing technical guidance, ensuring timely deliveries, and collaborating with business leaders to align with overarching business objectives. You will work in the Thunderbolt Platform CoE which is chartered with leading the effort toward realizing greater software development efficiency and improved software quality throughout Aerospace organization. To drive these initiatives, the Thunderbolt Platform CoE has highly talented individuals to drive software architecture, design, best practices, for platform design and development across aero products. The Platform CoE performs design, development and Level A certification of the Boot, Platform Abstraction Layer (PAL), Device Drivers, Middleware IO and network/communication stacks.
You will report directly to our **Engineering Manager,** and you’ll work out of our **Deer Valley, AZ** location on a **Hybrid** work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Lead the software development and delivery of Thunderbolt platform software for multiple applications
+ Lead a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship on critical technology projects.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
+ Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions in accordance with project specifications.
+ Drive continuous improvement in software engineering processes
+ Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical skills and Thunderbolt domain understanding.
+ Drive innovation, creating growth ideas and products for exceptional customer experience.
YOU MUST HAVE
+ 8+ years of experience leading software development projects.
+ Strong proficiency in programming languages (C, C++, assembly).
+ Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
+ Lead complex feature development from customer requirements to deployment
+ Experience demonstrating you can develop and maintain software architecture plans and design high-level system structures that meet business requirements and technical constraints.
+ Embedded Software Development Knowledge
+ Proficient in Deos™/RTOS/Linux or any RTOS.
+ Experience in communication protocols like CAN, A429 etc
+ Experience in Network protocols like A664

+ Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related field.

+ Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles.
