**As a PLC Controls Engineer II** here at Honeywell Intelligrated, you will support and implement electrical control projects for integrated systems or sub-systems. In addition to hands-on technical implementation, you will help provide planning, reporting and management of automation control projects. As a Controls Engineer, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of the controls project elements and execute and/or delegate individual tasks throughout the project life cycle.
In this role, you will take a systems approach in understanding core design features, project elements, overall electrical architecture and ensure delivery of projects on schedule and within scope and budget - maintaining internal and external customer expectations throughout the project life cycle.
Key Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with engineering team to execute project tasks.
+ Apply prescriptive methodology to project tasks
+ Implement automation projects for material handling customers
+ Develop and implement PLC code for the material handling systems.
+ Test PLC prototypes internally and on site for new/changes in the project.
+ Review AutoCAD layouts and schematics to program the projects.
+ Prepare or update reports and documentation
+ Assess programming and commissioning methods to ensure development of standard coding are met with Intelligrated standards.
+ Executes all test plans on-site, both internal and customer acceptance/BUAT/UAT/FAT
+ Monitors and works from project tasks lists and timelines; reports progress on a regular basis
+ Attends weekly team meetings; reviews scheduled tasks/timelines

YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
+ 2-4 years of Controls Engineering Experience in a similar role
+ Ability and willingness to travel up to 60%+ of the time
WE VALUE
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Industrial Automation or related field.
+ Experience with some of the following:
+ E-Commerce Material Handling Systems
+ Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Programming and Electrical Design
+ Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff Programmable Logic Controller
+ Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) programming and setup
+ Network Protocols
+ Warehouse control system software interface and protocols
+ Human-machine Interface system design
+ Scanner and Machine vision system interface
+ Capability to apply broad knowledge of one professional discipline or advanced knowledge of specific technical/operational practices
+ Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, by consistently taking the initiative to get things done
+ Capability to update or modify working methods in your role by following defined procedures
+ Interest and skill to collaborate with engineering functional teams
+ Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity
+ Dexterity to evaluate and recommend technical solutions based on standard or accepted technical practices
Experience with some of the following Tools and software is of value – Logix 5000, Studio 5000, ZoneFlex Configurator, RSLinx, FactoryTalk View, B&R Automation Studio, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, SST Profibus Configuration tool, Ignition, SOPAS, Datalogic DataMan.
