Position Summary:
We are seeking a UAT Test Lead to join a leading U.S.-based commercial banking organization undergoing a major Human Capital Management transformation. This role will be responsible for defining and executing the user acceptance testing strategy in coordination with business and IT stakeholders, ensuring seamless deployment of a next-generation HCM solution.
Essential Duties:
• Partner with the centralized QA Lead and program stakeholders to define UAT scope, objectives, strategy, and success criteria.
• Collaborate with IT QA teams to validate user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
• Coordinate, train, and guide business users participating in UAT, ensuring proper access and readiness.
• Drive the creation of test plans, test scripts, and test data — both manual and automated — aligned with project requirements.
• Oversee UAT test execution and defect management, ensuring test cases are completed accurately and blockers are escalated and resolved.
• In coordination with the IT QA Lead, escalate critical defects or blockers and collaborate with IT/technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve them.
• Coordinate UAT training and documentation for testers and stakeholders.
• Provide regular progress reports of test cases, testing cycle, and help prioritize issue resolution, risk assessments, and readiness updates to project leadership.
• Function as a trusted advisor to the business, helping frame UAT strategy, identify resource needs, and ensure successful deployment readiness.
Qualifications:
• BA or BS in math, science, finance, or business-related field.
• 10+ years of experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including creating automated testing and manual testing, business analysis, and software quality assurance.
• 10 + years’ experience with software quality assurance best practices, such as debugging, security analysis, including the development life cycle and project management processes.
• 2 years of experience working as a UAT Test Lead, driving strategy and helping an organization frame what they need in terms of a plan, identifying the players for testing, helping train them, in addition to writing test plans and cases, and executing the test plans/cases.
• 2+ years of project experience in HR, HRIS, or Human Capital Management system implementations.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), project management methodologies, and QA best practices.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing, including test case creation and execution.
• Deep knowledge of SQA practices such as debugging, defect tracking, and test documentation.
Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:
• Experience with Workday, UKG, or other HCM systems is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across global and cross-functional teams.
• Experience coordinating with teams across multiple time zones, including domestic and offshore stakeholders.
• Highly adaptable, proactive, and capable of identifying issues before deployment.
