Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring Guest Operations Interns to join our team at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida.

Pay

$18.00 - $18.00 / hour

What will you do?

+ Attend orientation and intern-specific training, which may include shadowing and meeting with internal stakeholders

+ Learn by working in crew member positions with on-the-job training

+ Collaborate with Managers of assigned departments to develop and implement projects and activities

+ Support space-related activities and projects

+ Participate in leadership and project management meetings

+ Research emerging technologies, trends, and guest expectations

+ Shadow and assist with special events

+ Learn about KSC and NASA’s space exploration program

+ Handle guest relations and VIP experiences in accordance with Delaware North's guest experience standards

More about you

+ Must be at least 18 years old

+ Bachelor's degree or currently working toward a degree required; hospitality-related degree program preferred

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Creative thinker with a passion for guest experience

+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

+ Interest in the hospitality industry and space exploration, science education, and/or themed entertainment

+ Ability to meet deadlines and manage project time-lines

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with scheduling or project management tools is a plus

+ A flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, or evenings as needed, is required

Physical requirements

+ Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for event setup and supply management

+ Long-term sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, repetitive movement, including working on a desktop

+ Includes indoor and outdoor work environments in all types of weather
