    Description

    The Direct Support Professional with Med Support provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community. This position is responsible for a ssisting with medical appointments, stocking medical supplies, and assistance in keeping all medical documentation files up to date, as well as administering medications as prescribed by physician. .

     

    Cedar Ridge is located in a charming country setting, where at any given time, you can look out the window and see a plethora of animals, such as hawks, cranes, turkeys, and deer. We are located in close proximity to several horse farms and local farms. We look for employees with patience and compassion, to support the eight people who live at Cedar Ridge.

     

    A high school diploma or GED is required. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

     

    HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

     

    STARTING SALARY: $ 20.51 to $ 22.57 per hour

    Minimum Requirements

    + High School Diploma or GED is required

    + Acceptable NYS Driver's License
