Job Title:Correctional Nurse - MAT Program (RN)

+ Location: Arlington County Jail

+ Job Type: Full-Time / Contract

Job Description:

Join a mission-driven healthcare teamproviding Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services to individualsin custody. As a Correctional Nurse specializing in MAT,you’ll play a vital role in supporting recovery from substance use disorderswithin a secure and structured environment. This position offers a uniqueopportunity to deliver compassionate care, promote rehabilitation, and reducerecidivism through evidence-based treatment.

KeyResponsibilities:

+ Administer MAT medications (e.g., methadone, buprenorphine) per protocol

+ Monitor patients for side effects and treatment response

+ Conduct assessments and document patient progress

+ Collaborate with behavioral health providers, custody staff, and medical teams

+ Educate patients on MAT, addiction recovery, and medication adherence

+ Support crisis intervention and withdrawal management

+ Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications:

+ Current RN license in the state of Virginia

+ Minimum 1 year of experience in correctional or med pass treatment settings

+ Active BLS certification

+ TB screening (PPD, chest x-ray, or questionnaire as applicable)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ Weekend availability required

+ Flexibility to travel or relocate for the duration of the assignment
