Your Responsibilities:

We are seeking candidates for a Maintenance Technician/Custodian to support a newly constructed property with 50 apartments in Westminster, MA. You will join a team responsible for sites in the Worcester area, so reporting to other sites will be needed occasionally. Your duties will include:

+ Performing in-unit repairs and preventative maintenance.

+ Completing work orders, including light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, groundskeeping, and general building maintenance.

+ Upkeep of the common areas, including cleaning hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, bathrooms, and community spaces.

+ Scheduling and providing access to contractors.

+ Conducting inspections of the property.

+ Communicating with the Facilities Manager on completed and on-going work assignments.

The work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00-3:00 with on-call duties shared on rotation. The on-call rotation will include sites in the Worcester area.

Your Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a strong customer service philosophy.

+ Some experience in residential property maintenance and skills in areas like plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC is required.

+ The ability to work as part of a supportive and cohesive team, as well independently, is required.

+ The ability to communicate professionally by phone and email while using a smartphone app is required.

+ Previous experience with Yardi or other management software preferred.

+ A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
