• Behavioral Health Support Specialist

    This is a full-time position at the recovery center working M-F, 8am-4:30pm. Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position.

     

    **Job Purpose or Objective(s):** As a Behavioral Health Support Specialist, you will assist with departmental goals and objectives by planning, organizing and completing outreach activities, partnering with various grants, and assisting with initiatives related to mental health and substance use prevention, treatment and recovery. You will report to the Manager.

    Primary Tasks:

    1. Facilitate patient care to promote recovery.

    2. Teach curricula for various topics recompleting patient treatment objectives.

    3. Coordinate and implement individual and group support services for people in recovery from mental illness and substance use disorders.

    4. Plan and organize outreach educational activities related to various behavioral health concerns, including mental illness; suicide prevention and education; substance use disorder prevention, treatment and recovery.

    5. Conduct specialized trainings to increase competencies in mental health content areas.

    6. Document and report completed activities following CNHSA policy and procedure.

    7. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

    Required Education, Skills and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, human services related field, or 4 years directly related experience

    + Intermediate computer skills

    + Two [2] years directly related experience
