Position Specific Description
We are seeking a capable individual to make a direct impact on company profitability by leveraging analytics to detect and prevent revenue loss.
Employees in this role will:
1) Transform complex datasets from multiple sources into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
2) Develop and deploy machine learning algorithms to identify revenue loss conditions using smart meter data, usage patterns, and customer characteristics.
3) Design and operationalize analytical models in production environments, ensuring scalability and reliability.
4) Other ad-hoc analysis to improve business processes.
Preferred Qualifications
+ **Programming Skills** : High-level proficiency in R/Python for data wrangling, feature engineering, and model development
+ **Data Acquisition and Visualization** : Strong skills in SQL, Excel, R ggplot, and other visualization tools
+ **Analytical Mindset** : Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research to support business initiatives
+ **Cloud Platform Experience** : Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
+ **Industry Knowledge** : Eagerness to learn about electrical systems, metering infrastructure, and utility operations
Job Overview
This position is responsible for developing algorithms, modeling techniques, and optimization methods that support many aspects of NextEra and FPL business. Employees in this role use knowledge of machine learning, optimization, statistics, and applied mathematics along with abilities in software engineering with a focus on distributed computing and data storage infrastructure (i.e., “Big Data”).
Job Duties & Responsibilities
+ Develops machine learning, optimization and other modeling solutions
+ Prepares comprehensive documented observations, analyses and interpretations of results including technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses
+ Works with big data and distributed computing platforms
+ Develops software and contributes to product development
+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned
