Job Description
Insight Global's client is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the international Cloud Engineering team, responsible for building, managing, and improving our AWS-hosted OnDemand financial solutions used by Tier One banks. This role will focus on supporting production infrastructure, implementing new environments, and driving automation and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and scripting with Lambda/Python. They will work with Linux and Windows servers backed by Oracle and PostgreSQL RDS, and contribute to containerization efforts using Kubernetes, EKS, and Fargate. The engineer will be expected to work independently during US business hours, resolving issues, implementing change requests, and collaborating with operations and client-facing teams in the Jacksonville office. Familiarity with Agile workflows, Git, Jira, and cloud security best practices is essential. This hybrid role requires an average of three days per week in-office and offers the opportunity to work alongside a globally distributed team based in the UK and Singapore. Compensation: $115,000-130,000 salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements
• AWS: managing infrastructure for production environments
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and Lambda/Python
• Experience with Linux and Windows server environments
• Familiarity with Oracle and PostgreSQL RDS
• Kubernetes expertise, including EKS and Fargate
• Source control using Git
• Ticketing systems like Jira and Jira Service Manager
• Comfort with Agile methodologies, even in interrupt-driven environments
Strong troubleshooting and incident resolution skills Plusses:
• Experience working in international teams
• Familiarity with financial backend applications
• Exposure to client-facing engineering roles
• Background in tooling automation and operational improvements
• Ability to work independently, especially during US time zone coverage
