    Job Description

    The Water Treatment Plant Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing the mechanical systems that support water treatment operations. This includes pumps, valves, motors, piping systems, and related infrastructure essential to delivering safe and reliable water services.

     

    Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical components including centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, compressors, blowers, motors, and gearboxes

     

    Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on rotating and stationary equipment

     

    Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend corrective actions to minimize downtime

     

    Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades

     

    Modify parts using hand tools and shop equipment

     

    Collaborate with electrical and instrumentation specialists on interdisciplinary repairs

     

    Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and equipment logs

    Experience in an industrial facility

     

    Strong mechanical skills
