    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a 6 month, possible extensions, possible conversion to perm, REMOTE Level 1 Service Desk Analyst, for $19-$24 an hour, who will serve as one of the first points of contact for end users experiencing technical issues. This role is critical in maintaining the smooth operation of IT systems and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and effective support.

     

    A glimpse into responsibilities for the role are as follows:

    Key Responsibilities

    • Respond to incoming service desk requests via phone, email, or ticketing systems.

    • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on Windows and Mac platforms.

    • Configure and image desktops and laptops.

    • Escalate major incidents to IT management when necessary.

    • Maintain accurate documentation of issues and resolutions.

    • Provide ad-hoc end-user support and manage priorities effectively.

    • Monitor IT systems for recurring problems and escalate unresolved issues.

    • Apply and expand upon existing documentation to resolve technical challenges.

    • Support mobile device management (e.g., Intune, MDM tools).

    • Assist with onboarding and setup of new users and devices.

    • Perform system updates, tests, and maintenance to prevent service interruptions.

    • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless operations.

    Skills and Requirements

    Must-haves

    • 1-3 years of experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Service Desk setting

     

    Experience handling Level 1 tickets primarily, and handling customer support Plusses

     

    Bachelor's degree
