Job Description

A large utility client in Downtown Houston is hiring an engaging and experienced Transmission Project Manager to support large/high dollar electric transmission projects, ensuring seamless integration between technical teams and business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership qualities to guide and motivate project teams in transmission development that will support the execution.

• Executive Materials: Prepare executive materials that will support transmission development and decision-making processes.

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive transmission plans and portfolio strategies.

• Technical and Business Integration: Bridge the gap between technical aspects and business operations, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.

• Functional Group Interaction: Collaborate with various functional groups to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.

• Problem Identification: Utilize technical expertise to identify and address potential issues in transmission projects.

• Scheduling: Prioritize scheduling as a critical aspect of transmission project management, ensuring timely completion of milestones.

• Meeting Participation: Actively participate in meetings to make informed decisions and build detailed project plans.

• Issue Identification: Proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure project success and continuity.

Skills and Requirements

8+ years of project management experience relating to transmission projects

Experience managing high dollar projects (100+ million)

Experience managing the entire project lifecycle

Industry experience: EPC or owner's engineer

Bachelors Degree

Very collaborative, experience working with many different teams/individuals Bachelors Degree, Engineering

Utilites industry experience

Leadership experience
