    Job Description

    A client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a Senior SAP Project Manager to play a large role in the ERP system transformation project, running as the main POC for all IT projects. This role is contracted to last 12 months, with the possibility of extending or converting FTE. The role will primarily remote, but there will be some planned travel to the Bismarck, ND location. In order to be successful here, you will be effective in IT project implementation, reduction in unplanned/unbudgeted projects, increase alignment of IT projects, and ensure full customer satisfaction.

    • Manage and lead IT projects of all sizes, prioritizing large/complex projects. Serves as lead project manager for the ERP system transformation project.

    • Responsible for tactical planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities for major cross-functional teams (asset management, finance, HR, procurement) located across multiple states.

    • Establish project plans: identify scope, objectives, schedule, resource plans, risk management strategies, communication plans, quality assurance, and budget forecasts. Create new project charters and present business cases as needed.

    • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure communication and delegation of project tasks support project initiatives and timelines.

    • Monitor and control project progress by tracking key performance indicators, analyzing performance, and implementing corrective actions when appropriate.

    • Ensure IT and cooperative governance, policies, and procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle. Set milestones and track performance.

    • Generate and distribute project status reports for stakeholders to communicate the current state of project risks, issues, budget, and key performance indicators.

    • Lead project closeout activities: finalize all project documents, partner with procurement to close out contracts, and document recommended updates to procedures for future projects.

    • Mentor, train, and coach IT Project Managers and other team members.

    • Inspect or audit IT project deliverables from other IT project management members.

     

    Pay Range: $50/HR - $60/HR Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related discipline and 10 years of related IT experience; or a two-year degree with 12 years of related IT experience; or high school diploma/equivalent (HSED or GED) and 14 years of related IT experience.

    • Proficient with multiple large, enterprise IT project management information systems; in-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, processes, and terminology.

    • Knowledge of ERP solutions such as SAP, Oracle, and Infor.

    • Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is required.
