Job Description
Proven experience coordinating with general contractors and other trades on-site
Familiarity with plumbing system takeoffs and estimating processes
Proficiency in drawing review and markup software (e.g., Bluebeam, AutoCAD)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to identify and manage long-lead plumbing items and procurement timelines
Experience with domestic water, sanitary, storm, gas, and medical gas systems preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead multiple mechanical and plumbing construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring timely delivery, quality workmanship, and client satisfaction
Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure financial targets are met
Team Leadership: Supervise and support field teams, subcontractors, and project engineers to meet project milestones
Client & GC Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and general contractors, facilitating clear communication and coordination across trades
Takeoffs & Estimating: Perform or oversee plumbing system takeoffs; develop scopes and budgets based on drawings and specifications
Drawing Review & Long-Lead Planning: Use tools like Bluebeam and AutoCAD to review drawings, identify long-lead items, and proactively manage procurement
Quality Assurance: Enforce high standards for mechanical and plumbing systems installation, ensuring compliance with codes, specifications, and safety protocols

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent field experience also considered
2–5 years of experience managing mechanical and plumbing construction projects (new builds, renovations, healthcare, commercial, or institutional)
